Hi David & Stella, If time is not a problem, the best way to get to Sabang from El Nido is by boat. This is fairly easy to organize when you are in El Nido. You can go to the tourist office and arrange it from there. You could also ask around town for a boat to take you. Judith from Art Café is a great source of information. It is a bit far to do El Nido to Sabang in one hit so we recommend you stay in Port Barton for at least overnight. It is very easy to arrange a boat to continue to Sabang from there. Coconut Garden Island Resort, just out of Port Barton, is a great stop-over. You will find all the information on this in our Palawan web pages. Alternatively you could fly Seair to Puerto Princesa and catch hire a van to take you to Sabang. If you call 'D 'Christ' Rent a Car a day in advance, they will pick you up from the airport and drive you straight there. The details for this are in our Sabang web page. There is also a bus that goes from El Nido to Puerto Princesa daily, but it is a bit of a rough 8 hour drive. You can then go by hire car to Sabang. There is also a bus and jeepney that goes to Sabang but you could be waiting around for hours waiting for it to leave. We always take the hire care. You have an option to catch the bus back to Puerto (as the local call it) which is what we do, or you can arrange for the hire car to pick you up. I have done the boat trip to Sabang–Port Barton–El Nido many times and it will also be the way I do it next time. It is a beautiful trip. I hope this is of some help. Regards, Janet and John.
